We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to work in the marketing and public relations department.
This position reports to the Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications.
The Marketing and Communications Specialist promotes the programs and services available throughout the healthcare system.
Supports the Marketing and Communications Department by planning, coordinating and creating materials, including but not limited to the production of an external quarterly magazine, events, marketing and promotional materials, and digital content.
Assists in overseeing the implementation of the strategic vision and the workflow of projects to achieve completion within specified deadlines and budgets, seeks appropriate approvals and completes the distribution of the materials.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of CentraState-related publications including design, content and production to ensure all maintain high quality standards related to writing, editing, photography, content approvals and printing.
Ensures that publications stay within budget and are delivered to meet predetermined deadlines.
Plays a major role in generating and implementing ideas and recommendations that help elevate and promote the editorial quality and objectives of the publications and keeps it current to healthcare publication standards.
Researches and identifies emerging health care trends and makes recommendations for topics to be covered in publications and for other channels, including social media.
Collaborates on the creation of marketing programs with internal and external resources such as clinical leaders, physicians, freelance writers, graphic designers, agency partners and influencers to coordinate marketing creative, schedules, budgets, media placements and billing.
Respond to day-to-day requests that come through the PR and Marketing requests email box, ensuring effective project management and timely completion.
Keeps staff and external vendors apprised of production deadlines and manages any unexpected changes in the production schedule.
Acts as a marketing liaison to assigned service lines, responsible for the development of multi-channel marketing campaigns and maintain associated budgets.
Contributes to social media campaigns and blog posts by identifying and suggesting relevant topics, target audiences and content.
Ensures that publications are appropriately stocked in high-traffic areas of the hospital.
Maintains an accurate and timely mailing list for publications.
Manages external vendors and ensures that their work meets the standards of the healthcare system.
Assists with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or relevant required.

years writing/publications and project management experience in a corporate communications or agency environment, preferably in healthcare.
Proactive contributor, creative thinker.
Highly detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet strict deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
Excellent written, verbal and project management skills.
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong familiarity with AP style.
Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively among numerous departments.
